Caring for a Medically Fragile Child? FHHA May Help Eligible Family Caregivers
Florida’s Family Home Health Aide Program may allow eligible parents, guardians, or family caregivers to complete training and work through a licensed home health agency to provide approved aide support for a medically fragile child who qualifies for Private Duty Nursing.
FHHA approval and payment are not automatic. Participation may depend on the child’s eligibility, caregiver eligibility, Private Duty Nursing status, agency employment, training completion, background screening, care-plan requirements, payer rules, and service authorization.
