What home health is actually like
If you came from a hospital or a nursing facility, read this first.
Home health is real nursing. It is also nothing like hospital nursing. Here is the honest version, so you can decide if it is the right next move for you.
-
1️⃣:1️⃣ One patient per shift
You are not running between rooms. Your entire shift is with one child or one adult, in their home. The work goes deeper. You actually remember everyone's name. Burnout looks different.
-
⏰Real schedule flexibility
Not the kind that means "we will text you Sunday for a Monday shift." You pick your availability. Day, overnight, weekends, PRN. Most of our nurses have set families they cover on a steady schedule.
-
📋Different documentation
Less charting volume than the hospital. But Medicaid is precise about what gets documented. Our office handles billing paperwork and authorization renewals. Your charting is patient-care focused.
-
👨👩👧 Family-centered, not hierarchy-centered
You work in someone's home, with their parents or spouse. The relationship is collaborative, not hospital-power-dynamic. Most nurses find this the biggest adjustment, and the biggest reason they stay.

Dynamiks is hiring Registered Nurses (RN), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), and Home Health Aides (HHA) across West Palm Beach, Coral Springs, Fort Myers, Orlando, Melbourne, and Sebring. We also recruit international nurses with visa sponsorship pathways.
-
Home health nursing is one-on-one care for a single patient at home, rather than rotating between many patients in a hospital. Most Dynamiks shifts are 8 to 12 hours with a single child or adult client. Pace is slower, the work is deeper, and you build a real relationship with the family. Many of our nurses come from hospital or skilled nursing facility roles looking for less burnout.
-
Private duty nursing is performed by a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse and includes clinical care like trach and vent management, medication administration, and seizure response. Home health aides handle activities of daily living such as bathing, feeding, mobility, and toileting. Children with complex medical needs often qualify for both.
-
No. We hire nurses with pediatric experience, adult care experience, or both. We provide trach, vent, and feeding tube training where needed. PALS or BLS certification is required for our trach and vent cases and we will help you get it.
-
Yes. Dynamiks is licensed by the State of Florida and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC). That means independent oversight of our clinical practice, hiring, training, and patient safety standards.
