Conditions we support

Care built around your child's actual diagnosis.

Generic home care does not work for kids with complex medical needs. Each of these conditions requires a different care plan, different training, and different documentation. We have done all of them.

  • 🫁 Tracheostomy and ventilator dependence

PALS-certified RN and LPN coverage, 24/7 on-call clinical support. Suctioning, trach changes, vent monitoring, and emergency response. Hospital-discharge ready.

  • 🌟 Cerebral palsy

Daily living, mobility, feeding, communication support. Caregivers trained in body positioning, transfers, and seizure response. Coordinated with your child's PT and OT.

  • 💛 Down syndrome

Developmental support, school readiness, feeding and speech coordination, cardiac monitoring when needed. Long-term caregiver continuity.

  • 👶 Post-NICU complexity

For kids coming home from a long NICU stay. Apnea monitor support, feeding pump and G-tube care, oxygen, and the discharge transition itself.

  • 🍽️ Feeding tubes (G-tube, J-tube, NG)

Pump operation, formula management, tube site care, weaning support. Coordinated with your child's GI specialist and dietitian.

  • ⚡ Seizure disorders

Caregivers trained in seizure first response, rescue medication administration (Diastat, Nayzilam), and detailed seizure-log documentation for your neurologist.

  • 🦴 Muscular dystrophy and other complex conditions

Including SMA, mitochondrial disorders, complex post-surgical recovery, and other rare or complex pediatric diagnoses. Care plan built around your child's specialist team.

  • 🧩 Autism spectrum disorder

Caregivers trained in ABA-aligned routines, sensory regulation, and behavior support. We match consistent caregivers to keep routines stable.

FAQ

Questions parents

actually ask

  • Pediatric home care is skilled and aide-level care provided to children at home rather than in a hospital or facility. It can include nursing care for medical conditions, daily living support, and behavioral or developmental assistance, depending on the child's needs and the level of clinical complexity.

  • Cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome, post-NICU complexity, tracheostomy and ventilator dependence, feeding tubes, seizure disorders, muscular dystrophy, complex post-surgical recovery, and other conditions that require ongoing care at home.

  • Yes. Florida Medicaid covers pediatric home care for medically eligible children through Statewide Medicaid Managed Care plans (Sunshine Health, Humana, Molina, Simply Healthcare, Florida Blue), the iBudget waiver for children with developmental disabilities, and the Children's Medical Services (CMS) Plan.

  • A typical shift includes morning routine assistance, medication administration, feeding tube care if applicable, therapy support, school assistance or play depending on age, naps, vital signs monitoring, and documentation. The schedule is built with the family during the in-home assessment.

  • Can a parent get paid to provide their child's home care?

Yes, through the Florida FHHA (Family Home Health Aide) program. A parent or eligible family member becomes a credentialed Home Health Aide and is paid through Florida Medicaid for the care they provide. Read the full FHHA guide on our blog.

  • Pediatric home care is delivered by clinically trained, background-screened caregivers (HHAs, LPNs, or RNs) under the supervision of a registered nurse, with documented care plans, medical-record charting, and Medicaid or insurance billing. A babysitter or nanny is not credentialed for clinical care and is not covered by health insurance.

  • If your child is already approved for home health hours through Florida Medicaid or insurance, care can typically start within 1 to 2 weeks. New authorizations take 2 to 6 weeks. Dynamiks handles the paperwork.
